Welcome to RetailEase ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using retailease.com and its subdomains (start.retailease.com, shop.retailease.com, app.retailease.com, delivery.retailease.com), you agree to the following terms. Please read carefully.
1. Who We Are
RetailEase is a platform that connects local retailers, delivery partners, and customers. We provide:
- Digital storefronts for retailers
- Order management and delivery coordination
- A marketplace for customers to shop locally
We do not own inventory or act as a seller. Retailers are solely responsible for their products and store operations.
2. Eligibility
You must be:
- At least 18 years old
- A resident of Nigeria (or a country we support)
- Not barred from using financial or digital services
By registering, you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. Your Account
Registration
- You must provide accurate, current information (name, email, phone, ID).
- Retailers and delivery partners must complete identity verification (KYC).
- We may suspend or reject accounts at our discretion for compliance or safety.
Security
- You are responsible for password and device security.
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized access.
4. Retailer Subscriptions & Payments
- Retailers pay a monthly fee to list products (plans start at ₦1,000/month during launch promo).
- Fees are non-refundable.
- We may auto-charge your payment method on file.
- You may cancel anytime, but access ends at the end of your billing cycle.
- Note: Pricing and plans may change with 30 days' notice.
5. What We Collect
We collect only what's necessary to operate RetailEase:
Personal Data
- Name, email, phone number
- Date of birth
- Government ID (for KYC)
- Profile photo (delivery partners)
- Business details (retailers only — after onboarding)
Device & Usage Data
- IP address, browser type, pages visited
- Order history, delivery locations
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies
6. How We Use Your Data
We use your information to:
- Verify your identity and prevent fraud
- Process orders and coordinate deliveries
- Provide customer support
- Send transactional emails (e.g., approval, order updates)
- Improve our platform
We do not sell your data to third parties.
7. Data Sharing
We only share data when necessary:
- With payment processors (e.g., Paystack, Flutterwave) to handle transactions
- With delivery partners (name, address, order details — never full phone/email without consent)
- When required by law (e.g., court order)
8. Data Security & Retention
- We use encryption and secure servers to protect your data.
- KYC documents (ID, selfie) are deleted after 90 days of account approval.
- Account data is retained as long as your account is active, or as required by law.
9. Your Rights
- Access or correct your personal data
- Request deletion of your account (note: order records are kept for legal compliance)
- Withdraw consent (may limit service functionality)

10. Limitation of Liability
RetailEase is a platform only — we are not responsible for:
- Product quality or availability
- Delivery delays or damage
- Actions of retailers or delivery partners
We provide the service "as is" and disclaim all warranties.
Our total liability will not exceed ₦10,000 per incident.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them. We'll notify users of material changes via email or in-app alert.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kwara State.
